Resilience of floral scent emission after florivory

open access: yesPlant Biology, EarlyView.
Florivory is thought to affect floral traits, impacting pollination. However, our data suggest a stability in post‐florivory scent emission, which may guarantee the maintenance of pollinator visitation regardless of florivory, indicating a resilience of natural systems with multiple and simultaneous interactions. Development of Holocene lacustrine microbialites on the Iberian Peninsula: Insights into environmental and depositional controls using X‐ray CT and petrography

open access: yesSedimentology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Microbial mats and microbialites are common in modern and ancient saline lacustrine environments and are highly responsive to biological and environmental factors. As such, they represent important sources of high‐resolution environmental data across a wide range of geological time. Nonetheless, interpretation of fossil mats is non‐trivial due

Sustainability Assessment of Alternative Methods for Destruction of Per‐ and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) in Water

open access: yesRemediation Journal, Volume 36, Issue 2, Spring 2026.
ABSTRACT Per‐ and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are persistent environmental contaminants widely recognized for their resistance to degradation and potential adverse health effects. The treatment of PFAS‐contaminated aqueous media (e.g., drinking water, wastewater, and leachate) has been extensively studied in the published literature; however, the

Fluorination of Silver Phosphate in Nickel Reaction Vessels for Triple Oxygen Isotope Analysis

open access: yesRapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry, Volume 40, Issue 7, 15 April 2026.
ABSTRACT Rationale Increasingly, more laboratories are measuring the triple oxygen isotope values of phosphate. Standardization is key to having good interlaboratory results. Here, we present the triple oxygen isotope values of a suite of standards using fluorination and compare them with previously reported triple oxygen isotope values. Methods Silver

Upcycling Printed Circuit Board E‐Waste to High‐Strength, Multifunctional, and Reprocessable Sulfur Composites via Thiocracking

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 7, 14 April 2026.
Thiocracking, the one‐pot reaction of elemental sulfur with printed circuit board waste, converts unrecyclable laminates into high‐sulfur composites. The most practical material prepared herein combines cement‐like strength with 100% strength retention after 10 melt–recast cycles, low thermal conductivity (0.37 W m−1 K−1), and antimicrobial efficacy ...
