Evolutionary legacies structure the geography of seagrass traits across the world's oceans
Summary Traits modulate species' ability to track shifts in climate, yet the extent to which traits have been shaped by the contemporary environment and/or historical processes remains poorly understood. Here, we fill this gap for the world's seagrasses, habitat‐forming species that provide critical ecosystem services.

ABSTRACT Lipid droplets (LDs) serve as the primary storage site for neutral lipids in plant cells, with growing evidence supporting many additional biological roles, such as in lipid homeostasis, signalling, trafficking, inflammatory responses and inter‐organelle communication.

ABSTRACT Alnus glutinosa is one of only three lineages within the order Fagales capable of establishing root nodule symbiosis (RNS). Although a fragmented genome assembly of A. glutinosa was previously available, its limited quality, combined with the lack of comprehensive transcriptomic resources, has constrained in‐depth comparative and functional ...

Justifying Futile Climate Resistance
ABSTRACT Many have attempted to justify certain acts of disruptive climate activism by appealing to, at least in part, their effectiveness. Accordingly, they help raise awareness, assure others that many will participate in the collective action, pressure politicians, call for change in governmental policies, and/or directly frustrate environmentally ...

I argue that poetry of lament, blessing and devotion articulates a broader literary consciousness that anticipates modern notions of a national consciousness. The compilation of bardic verse in manuscript
