Divergence time estimation using fossils as terminal taxa and the origins of Lissamphibia.
Were molecular data available for extinct taxa, questions regarding the origins of many groups could be settled in short order. As this is not the case, various strategies have been proposed to combine paleontological and neontological data sets. The use

The replacement of the anodic OER in CO2RR with energy‐saving methanol oxidation reaction and the creation of a favorable microenvironment through interfacial Cl− ions enable concurrent formate production at industrial‐level current densities. Abstract The efficient electrocatalytic conversion of CO2 to formate is often impeded by the high energy ...

The chemical composition and band alignment are systematically investigated at the TiO2/InP heterointerface. Thin TiO2 films are deposited by ALD on atomically ordered, P‐terminated p‐InP(100). By combining UPS, XPS, and ab initio molecular dynamics, the atomistic structure and electronic alignment are revealed.

Expected Anomalies in the Fossil Record [PDF]
The problem of intermediates in the fossil record has been frequently discussed ever since Darwin. The extent of `gaps' (missing transitional stages) has been used to argue against gradual evolution from a common ancestor.
