Engineering Ultra‐Low Fe or Ni Loading in Polymer Derived SiCN(O) Fibre Mats: Exploring the Performance towards Alkaline OER

Polymer‐derived SiCN(O) fibre mats enable anchoring of ultra‐low amounts of transition metals for efficient alkaline oxygen evolution. The distinct behaviour of Fe‐ and Ni‐based fibres highlights the importance of metal phase and support interactions in tailoring catalytic behaviour.

A Pentaradial and Bilateral Combined Photoreception System in the Sea Cucumber is Mediated by a Blue Light‐Sensitive R‐Opsin

The sea cucumber Holothuria leucospilota detects blue and adjacent wavelengths of light via an r‐opsin with a maximum absorption at 459 nm. In the oral tentacles, papillae, and tube feet, distinct light‐sensing structures with specialized morphologies are formed, constituting a unique pentaradial and bilateral combined photoreception system.

Phylodynamic models can be used to estimate diversification trajectories from time-calibrated phylogenies. Here we apply two such models to phylogenies of non-avian dinosaurs, a clade whose evolutionary history has been widely debated.
