Design and development of piston-controlled intake port for 4-stroke engine [PDF]
In a two stroke engine, piston control the intake port opening and closing that combine the intake and compression stroke in 1800 crank rotation. The operational concept of two stroke engine is applied to the existing four stroke engine cylinder head ...

Characteristics of the Limit Cycle of a Reciprocating Quantum Heat Engine [PDF]
When a reciprocating heat engine is started it eventually settles to a stable mode of operation. The approach of a first principle quantum heat engine toward this stable limit cycle is studied.

Functional Connectivity Linked to Cognitive Recovery After Minor Stroke
ABSTRACT Objective Patients with minor stroke exhibit slowed processing speed and generalized alterations in functional connectivity involving frontoparietal cortex (FPC). The pattern of connectivity evolves over time. In this study, we examine the relationship of functional connectivity patterns to cognitive performance, to determine ...

Single-cylinder 125 CC stepped piston engine for mobility and portable power generation applications [PDF]
Two-stroke engines is far simpler than four-stroke version from its physical perspective. For a given brake output, two-stroke is lighter, easier to work on, and provide higher power-to-weight ratio than the four-stroke, making it suitable for small ...

Swirl in a Four-Stroke Cycle Engine Cylinder
Air swirl speeds were measured in a motoring and firing run of a direct injection diesel engine, and the results were compared with those in steady flow tests. Experimental results show that, during the combustion period, the swirl speed in the firing condition is almost the same as that in motoring.

Discovery and Targeted Proteomic Studies Reveal Striatal Markers Validated for Huntington's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective Clinical trials for Huntington's disease (HD) enrolling persons before clinical motor diagnosis (CMD) lack validated biomarkers. This study aimed to conduct an unbiased discovery analysis and a targeted examination of proteomic biomarkers scrutinized by clinical validation. Methods Cerebrospinal fluid was obtained from PREDICT‐HD and
