Glissile Interphase Boundaries Enable Collective Phase Switching in Epitaxial Polar Oxides
A triple point is identified in the phase diagram of low‐symmetry epitaxial BiFeO3 thin film along with an extended regime of phase competition associated with a flattened energy landscape. The electromechanical response is shown to be governed by correlated interphase‐boundary motion, including scale‐free avalanche dynamics characteristic of systems ...

This article seeks to show how the elements of a (flexible and adaptable) model of territorial development, whose roots are anchored in the analysis of coordination among pre-capitalist actors, can take on a more concrete form in developing economies ...

Each combustion chamber of the Fourier engine is open to multiple cylinders, which have pistons connected to crankshafts that rotate at different rates. The displacements of the individual cylinders and the relative phases of the pistons are selected according to a Fourier approximation of a prescribed time dependence of the volume of the combustion ...

Chiral Phase Change Nanomaterials
This work demonstrates reversible, non‐volatile phase transitions in chiral Ge2${\rm Ge}_2$Sb2${\rm Sb}_2$Te5${\rm Te}_5$ (GST) nanohelices for high‐speed optical modulation of chirality and dynamic control of the state of polarization (SOP). The chiral nanostructures are fabricated using a highly directional, wafer‐scale physical vapor deposition ...

Harmonic analysis and partial differential equations. Brief walk through these domains
In this walk we are going to walk through some domains of harmonic analysis and partial differential equations (PDE). The objective of this article is to motivate students and colleagues to study these beautiful areas of analysis and therefore we ...

A giant magnetic coercivity and a vertical shift of hysteresis loops are demonstrated in Sr3YCo4O10+δ epitaxial films. The hard magnetic behavior originates from ferromagnetic spin bags stabilized within a long‐range ordered oxygen‐vacancy structure.

On the overconvergence of certain series
In this work, we consider certain class of exponential series with polynomial coefficients and study the properties of convergence of such series. Then we consider a subclass of this class and prove certain theorems on the overconvergence of such a ...

Optical Signature of Moiré Superlattices Formed by Twisted SrTiO3 Membranes
We discover optical signatures from bonded interfaces in twisted SrTiO3 moiré superlattices, including low‐frequency Raman vibrational modes and strong second‐harmonic generation, consistent with strong interlayer coupling inferred from cross‐sectional electron microscopy and ab initio calculations. ABSTRACT Moiré superlattices formed at the interfaces

Limits of Flow-Cytometry Histogram Analysis Methods to Assess Bladder Tumour Antigen Expression
Tumour‐associated antigens detected in cells obtained from bladder washings or tumours are useful markers in bladder cancer. Flow cytometry is commonly used to quantify immuno‐stained cells.

Atomic layer deposition is used to conformally surface engineer polymeric membranes to fabricate inorganic–organic hybrid membranes. These membranes have exceptionally strong attraction toward water even in high oil containing emulsions, which leads to an extremely strong hydration layer at the interface.
