A new analytical pipeline, FREQuency‐resolved Network Estimation via Source Separation (FREQ‐NESS), reveals how the brain at rest is organized in frequency‐specific networks and dynamically rearranges during auditory stimulation. By analyzing source‐reconstructed magnetoencephalography (MEG) data, FREQ‐NESS uncovers the networks' prominence, spatial ...

Separating Fourier and Schur Multipliers
Let $G$ be a locally compact unimodular group, let $1\leq p<\infty$,let $ϕ\in L^\infty(G)$ and assume that the Fourier multiplier $M_ϕ$associated with $ϕ$ is bounded on the noncommutative $L^p$-space $L^p(VN(G))$.Then $M_ϕ\colon L^p(VN(G))\to L^p(VN(G))$ is separating (that is,$\{a^*b=ab^*=0\}\Rightarrow\{M_ϕ(a)^* M_ϕ(b)=M_ϕ(a)M_ϕ(b)^*=0\}$for any ...

Strain localization along phase or grain boundaries leads to crack initiation typical of alloys. In multi‐principal element alloys, the enamel‐like microstructure is stabilized by phase boundaries. This facilitates trans‐phase migration of semi‐atomic surfaces and provides sufficient plastic space for dislocation‐mediated deformation.

Photopatternable PEDOT:PSS Hydrogels for High‐Resolution Photolithography
A photosensitive biphasic conducting polymer hydrogel (PB‐CH) is rationally designed with PEDOT:PSS as the conductive phase and a light‐sensitive matrix as the mechanical phase. Such a PB‐CH offers a unique combination of excellent conductivity (≈30 S cm⁻¹), robust mechanical performance (with stretchability up to 50%), and high photopatternability ...

Functional activity of peptide ion channels in tethered bilayer lipid membranes: Review
Abstract Ion transport across biomembranes plays a major role in living cells. This fundamental function is normally carried out by molecules with both a hydrophobic and a hydrophilic side (amphiphilic molecules), which aggregate within the membrane forming a hydrophilic pore (the ion channel) permitting the selective translocation of permeant ions ...

Discovery of a New Phase in Thin Flakes of KV3Sb5 under Pressure
The discovery of an unexpected new phase is reported in thin flake of KV3Sb5 under pressure. The new phase, alongside the CDW and superconducting phases, reveals an intriguing interplay between various novel phases in the kagome system. These findings suggest that this phase is related to nematicity, showcasing the kagome system's potential for ...
