Phase Engineering of Nanomaterials (PEN): Evolution, Current Challenges, and Future Opportunities

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review summarizes the synthesis, phase transition, advanced characterization spanning ex situ to in situ and operando techniques, and diverse applications of phase engineering of nanomaterials (PEN). It further outlines key challenges and future opportunities, such as phase stability, architecture control, and artificial intelligence (AI)‐driven ...

A Fourier pseudospectral method for some computational aeroacoustics problems

open access: yes, 2006
A Fourier pseudospectral time-domain method is applied to wave propagation problems pertinent to computational aeroacoustics. The original algorithm of the Fourier pseudospectral time-domain method works for periodical problems without the interaction ...

Convergence of Fourier–Padé Approximants for Stieltjes Functions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We prove convergence of diagonal multipoint Padé approximants of Stieltjes-type functions when a certain moment problem is determinate. This is used for the study of the convergence of Fourier–Padé and nonlinear Fourier–Padé approximants for such type of

Fourier transform method for the classical trajectory problem

open access: yesThe Journal of Chemical Physics, 1979
By introducing an impluse potential at an external boundary, or by reflecting the scattering potential at such a boundary, collision dynamics is converted into an equivalent bound-state problem. Recent theoretical developments in classical bound-state dynamics. which make use of the geometrical structure in phase space known as an invariant toroid, can

Weaving Intelligence: Thermally Drawn Multimaterial Fibers Toward AI‐Enabled Smart Textiles

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Thermally drawn multimaterial fibers are rapidly advancing as intelligent structural units for next‐generation smart textiles. Integrating multimaterial architectures with neuromorphic and spiking‐neural‐network principles enables fabrics that can sense, compute, and adapt autonomously.

The multiresolution Fourier transform : a general purpose tool for image analysis [PDF]

open access: yes
The extraction of meaningful features from an image forms an important area of image analysis. It enables the task of understanding visual information to be implemented in a coherent and well defined manner.

Deep Learning Inverse Design of Phase‐Change Reconfigurable Terahertz Metadevices for Multidimensional Secure Communication

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A deep learning inverse‐design framework is established to create versatile reconfigurable terahertz metadevices. By synergizing deep learning with phase‐change materials, this approach enables on‐demand customization of multidimensional electromagnetic responses.

Cost efficiency and UK building societies. An econometric panel-data study employing a flexible fourier functional form

open access: yes, 1998
The paper empirically quantifies firm specific 'distribution free' cost efficiency, economies of scale and economies of scope in the UK building society sector between 1990-1995. Both a flexible Fourier and a translog functional form are employed with

Steric Coordination Modulated Iodine Chemistry With Four‐Electron Conversion for Zinc‐Iodine Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A dual‐additive electrolyte strategy is developed to address the hydrolysis of I+ in the aqueous electrolytes. The steric‐hindrance effect of TES− effectively shields I+ from nucleophilic attacks by hydroxyl groups, facilitating the reversible I−/I0/I+ conversion with four‐electron transfer.
