Artificial Intelligence‐Assisted Workflow for Transmission Electron Microscopy: From Data Analysis Automation to Materials Knowledge Unveiling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
AI‐Assisted Workflow for (Scanning) Transmission Electron Microscopy: From Data Analysis Automation to Materials Knowledge Unveiling. Abstract (Scanning) transmission electron microscopy ((S)TEM) has significantly advanced materials science but faces challenges in correlating precise atomic structure information with the functional properties of ...

Beyond Presumptions: Toward Mechanistic Clarity in Metal‐Free Carbon Catalysts for Electrochemical H2O2 Production via Data Science

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐free carbon catalysts enable the sustainable synthesis of hydrogen peroxide via two‐electron oxygen reduction; however, active site complexity continues to hinder reliable interpretation. This review critiques correlation‐based approaches and highlights the importance of orthogonal experimental designs, standardized catalyst passports ...

Algebrability of the set of non-convergent Fourier series

open access: yes, 2006
We show that, given a set E subset of T of measure zero, the set of continuous functions whose Fourier series expansion is divergent at any point t is an element of E is dense-algebrable, i.e.

Water Permeates and Plasticizes Amorphous Carbon Dots: Unraveling the Inner Accessibility of the Nanoparticles by Glass Transition Studies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The water permeability of amorphous carbon dots (CDs) is demonstrated by investigating their plasticization. Novel polyamide‐based and amorphous nanoparticles are synthesized by controlling their inner packing density. Water plasticization is evidenced by the decrease of the CDs glass transition temperature with increasing the hydration degree.

Fourier–Jacobi expansion of automorphic forms on Sp(1,q) generating quaternionic discrete series

open access: yes, 2006
The aim of this paper is to develop the notion of the Fourier expansion of automorphic forms on Sp(1,q) generating quaternionic discrete series, which are non-holomorphic forms. There is such an expansion given by Tsuneo Arakawa, assuming the boundedness

Solvent‐Free Thermal Defect Engineering in Molecular Frameworks With Volatile Linkers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Thermal removal of neutral volatile linkers enables precise and solvent‐free generation of metal vacancies in MOFs. This strategy affords redox‐stable, coordinatively unsaturated FeII sites with tunable spin, ligand coordination, and catalytic behavior. The approach offers a general route to design defect‐functional materials through local coordination

An approximate solution of the contact problem for the hard disk and plane with a circular hole without application of singular equations

open access: yesЖурнал Белорусского государственного университета: Математика, информатика, 2018
For the first time the contact problem of elasticity theory for the rigid (not deformable) disk and elastic plane with a hole was approximately solved using the method of analytic functions without the application of singular equations.

Self‐Assembled Inorganic Nanomembrane Tubes: Rolled‐Up Piezoelectrics for Microacoustic Wave‐Based Actuators and Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates a self‐assembly process to generate free‐standing piezoelectric nanomembranes, forming ultracompact microtubular acoustic wave sensors and actuators. The miniaturized 3D piezoelectric platform reported in this work can be applied in telecommunication, energy harvesting, and acoustofluidics. Moreover, the 3D self‐assembly can add

Pricing Early-Exercise and Discrete Barrier Options by Fourier-Cosine Series Expansions

open access: yes
We present a pricing method based on Fourier-cosine expansions for early-exercise and discretely-monitored barrier options. The method works well for exponential Levy asset price models. The error convergence is exponential for processes characterized by

Dynamical decoupling of a qubit with always-on control fields

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2012
We consider dynamical decoupling schemes in which the qubit is continuously manipulated by a control field at all times. Building on the theory of the Uhrig dynamical decoupling (UDD) sequence and its connections to Chebyshev polynomials, we derive a ...
