A High Order Theory for Linear Thermoelastic Shells: Comparison with Classical Theories

open access: yesJournal of Engineering, 2013
A high order theory for linear thermoelasticity and heat conductivity of shells has been developed. The proposed theory is based on expansion of the 3-D equations of theory of thermoelasticity and heat conductivity into Fourier series in terms of ...

Dual‐Mode Magnetic Elastomer for On‐Demand Motion and Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A dual‐mode magnetic elastomer is introduced, enabling DC field‐driven programmable actuation and AC field‐driven magnetothermal degradation. GHz‐range magnetic fields generate ultrafast heating of magnetic nanoparticles that activates cleavage of the silicone elastomer matrix.

Fault Diagnosis of Induction Motor Based on a Novel Intelligent Framework and Transient Current Signals

open access: yes, 2013
This paper deals with fault diagnosis of induction motor containing common faults by using a novel intelligent framework and transient stator current signals. This framework consists of a Fourier-Bessel (FB) expansion for analyzing the transient signals,

Moving Beyond Oligoethers: Polar Side‐Chain Engineering for Aqueous Mixed Ionic–Electronic Conductors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We investigate how side‐chain chemistry and hydrogen bonding affect electrochemical doping in poly(propylenedioxythiophene) polymers. Replacing oligoether side chains with hydroxyl or carboxylic acid groups nearly triples electrochemical conductivity.

Formulation methodologies based on Taylor expansion power and Fourier expansion series for the macro-element resolution scheme of enriched models for the stress analysis of adhesively bonded joints

open access: yes, 2023
International audienceIn recent years, interest in adhesive bonding has grown as it can be considered an efficient solution in terms of strength-to-mass ratio when applied to lightweight structures or an interesting solution to complement conventional ...

Dual‐Salt Carbothermal Shock Strategy Enabling Ultrafast and Sustainable Regeneration of Spent LiFePO4 Cathode Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) accounts for over 50% of the global cathode market, underscoring the need for efficient recycling and regeneration. We propose a dual‐salt carbothermal shock (CTS) strategy using LiI and NaI to in situ repair Li vacancies.

Fast computation of sine/cosine series coefficients of associated Legendre function of arbitrary high degree and order

open access: yesJournal of Geodetic Science, 2018
In order to accelerate the spherical/spheroidal harmonic synthesis of any function, we developed a new recursive method to compute the sine/cosine series coefficient of the 4π fully- and Schmidt quasi-normalized associated Legendre functions.

Equiconvergence of Two Fourier Series

open access: yes, 1995
The Fourier expansion of a function in the polynomials orthonormal in [−1, 1] with respect to the weight function J(x) exp[u(x)], where J(x) is the weight of the classical Jacobi polynomials and u(x) is a real function satisfying some conditions, is ...

In Situ Crystalline‐Amorphous Composite Oxide Structure Suppressing Thermal Wear Instability for Refractory Multi‐Principal Element Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An effective strategy is developed to overcome the medium temperatures wear resistance degradation in refractory multi‐principal element alloys. By utilizing chemical short‐range ordering to trigger oxygen‐induced amorphization, a composite oxide structure is formed, which combines high hardness with robust stiffness.
