Fourier transform noise spectroscopy

open access: yesnpj Quantum Information
Spectral characterization of noise environments that lead to the decoherence of qubits is critical to developing robust quantum technologies. While dynamical decoupling offers one of the most successful approaches to characterize noise spectra, it ...

T2‐weighted imaging of rectal cancer using a 3D fast spin echo sequence with and without deep learning reconstruction: A reader study

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To compare image quality and clinical utility of a T2‐weighted (T2W) 3‐dimensional (3D) fast spin echo (FSE) sequence using deep learning reconstruction (DLR) versus conventional reconstruction for rectal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

A method for measuring spatial resolution based on clinical chest CT sequence images

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose This study aimed to develop and validate a method for characterizing the spatial resolution of clinical chest computed tomography (CT) sequence images. Methods An algorithm for characterizing spatial resolution based on clinical chest CT sequence images was developed in Matlab (2021b).

Reviews of bearing vibration measurement using fast Fourier transform and enhanced fast Fourier transform algorithms

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2019
The rolling element bearing is one of the most critical components in a machine. Vibration signals resulting from these bearings imply important bearing defect information related to the machinery faults.

Abnormal Synchronization Between Cortical Delta Power and Ripples in Hippocampal Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Discriminating between epileptogenic and physiological ripples in the hippocampus is important for identifying epileptogenic (EP) zones; however, distinguishing these ripples on the basis of their waveforms is difficult. We hypothesized that the nocturnal synchronization of hippocampal ripples and cortical delta power could be used ...

Continuous Fourier transform system [PDF]

open access: yes, 1974
Complex digital computer is not required, only summing amplifiers and attenuators are used for transformation of signal. Continuous transform system may be used for spectrum analysis, filtering, transfer function synthesis, and ...

A General Geometric Fourier Transform

open access: yes, 2013
The increasing demand for Fourier transforms on geometric algebras has resulted in a large variety. Here we introduce one single straight forward definition of a general geometric Fourier transform covering most versions in the literature.

Subthalamic Nucleus Oscillatory Characteristics in Meige, Cervical Dystonia and Generalized Dystonia

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Deep brain stimulation offers a unique opportunity to record neural activity of the basal ganglia. While much work in dystonia has focused on the globus pallidus internus, expanding research to investigate subthalamic nucleus (STN) activity in various dystonia types is critical to provide a comprehensive understanding of dystonia ...

Mechanisms of Increasing Weld Depth during Temporal Power Modulation in High‐Power Laser Beam Welding

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Temporal power modulation increases weld depth in high‐power laser beam welding of dissimilar round bars by nearly 20% compared to same average continuously welded welding power. The mechanism of action also applies to sheet welding and depends on the inertia of keyhole depth for the modulated laser beam power.

A scalar valued Fourier transform for the Heisenberg group [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
We define a scalar valued Fourier transform for functions on the Heisenberg group and establish some of its basic properties like inversion formula, Plancherel theorem and Riemann-Lebesgue lemma. We also restate certain well known theorems for the group Fourier transform in terms of the new transform which we would like to call Strichartz Fourier ...
