Polarization Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy
Analytica Chimica Acta, 1990Abstract Some Fourier transform infrared spectroscopic studies with linearly and circularly polarized radiation are reported. They were all carried out by means of the differential technique, consisting in the comparison of two single-channel spectra of opposite polarization.

In-cylinder Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy
Measurement Science and Technology, 2008We have adapted a standard Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectrometer (Thermo-Scientific Nexus 670) for in-cylinder measurements of gas spectra. During engine operation, the engine shaft encoder signal is logged continuously along with the FTIR's He–Ne laser signal and infrared interferogram signal.

Infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy of XeH
Molecular Physics, 1988The infrared emission spectrum of the Rydberg molecule XeH was recorded with the Kitt Peak Fourier transform spectrometer. XeH was made in a hollow cathode discharge of 2·2 torr H2 and 0·1 torr Xe. The 0-0 bands of the C 2Π-B 2Σ+ and the D 2Σ+-C 2Π transitions were observed near 3250 cm−1 and 4420 cm−1, respectively.

Infrared and Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy
2006During the last decade, infrared spectroscopic techniques have entered the field of photosynthesis and they are meanwhile established methods for probing chlorophyll or quinone molecules in their binding sites and for the investigation of molecular processes in the protein upon electron transfer or proton transfer.

Fourier Transform Fluorescence-Encoded Infrared Spectroscopy
The Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2018While time-resolved infrared (IR) vibrational spectroscopy provides insight on structural dynamics of solution-phase systems, current techniques are limited to high concentrations. Fluorescence-encoded infrared spectroscopy (FEIR) can be used to encode IR-driven vibrational excitations into excited electronic states that fluoresce, which can be ...

Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy in Cancer Detection
Future Oncology, 2005The rapid developments in the field of infrared spectroscopy in the past decade have demonstrated a potential for disease diagnosis using noninvasive technologies. Several earlier studies have highlighted the advantage of using infrared spectroscopy both in the near- and mid-infrared regions for diagnostic purposes at clinical levels.

Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy
2017The use of Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy has been considered to be one of the most effective techniques to study and understand the chemical and surface chemistry in various types of membrane. In this chapter, the role of FTIR techniques to monitor the change of membrane surface chemistry was discussed.

Derivative Traces in Infrared Fourier Transform Spectroscopy
Applied Spectroscopy, 1970The principles of derivative spectrophotometry have been known for many years, and a variety of instrumentation for producing the first and higher differentials of absorption spectra has been described.1–21 However, despite the advantages of the techniques for intensifying minor changes in spectra, the separation of overlapping bands, or for band ...
