Sexing of turkey poults by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy
Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, 2009Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy was used to probe the molecular composition of germinal cells and to identify the gender of turkey poults. Germinal cells obtained from a feather pulp were characterized by FT-IR micro spectroscopy. The sample set consisted of growing contour feathers from 23 male and 23 female turkey poults.

Metabolic Fingerprinting with Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy
2003Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy is a rapid, reagent-less, non-destructive, analytical technique whose continuing development is resulting in manifold applications in the biosciences. The principle of FT-IR lies in the fact that when a sample is interrogated with light (or electromagnetic radiation), chemical bonds absorb at specific ...

Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy of human saliva
SPIE Proceedings, 1994FT-IR spectra of male and female dried human saliva were obtained. The assignments of the observed spectral peaks are presented. The possibility of the application of FT-IR spectroscopy of human saliva in monitoring the status of a wide variety of human diseases is discussed.

Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy of polymers
1984This review covers the theory and application of Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy to the characterization of polymers. The basic theory, the sampling techniques and the spectral operations are described. The applications discussed include the study of polymer reactions, polymer structure and dynamic effects.

Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy of Surfaces
1992Infrared spectroscopy has been a widely used technique in industry for the structural and compositional analysis of organic, inorganic and polymeric samples and for quality control of raw materials and commercial products. With the advent of Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) the range of applications and the materials amenable to study has
