In this work, diamonds with negative charged silicon‐vacancy (SiV−) centers have been designed for use as thermometers in biomedical applications. Multiparametric analysis of the emission characteristics of the SiV− centers provides extraordinary sensitivity for temperature detection in the physiological temperature range.

Determination of polymer content in energetic materials by FT-IR [PDF]
A new methodology was developed to characterize and to quantify the polymer content in PBX (HMX/Viton) by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), using the Termogravimetric analysis (TG) as reference techniques for the quantitative method.

A polymerizable deep eutectic solvent is reinforced with tannic acid‐modified cellulose nanofibers to construct a hierarchical dynamic eutectogel network. Synergistic covalent and reversible interactions impart ultrahigh stretchability, high ionic conductivity, broad temperature tolerance, self‐healing, and strong adhesion, enabling robust wearable ...

Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy enables rapid strain typing in M. pachydermatis
Malassezia pachydermatis is a zoophilic yeast found on the skin and in the outer ear canal of many mammals. It normally maintains a commensal lifestyle, but can cause dermatitis and otitis in predisposed hosts, particularly in atopic dogs.
