Numerical-Valued Fourier Transforms [PDF]
It is shown that the classical Fourier transform can be extended as an algebra isomorphism onto the algebra of all complex-valued functions, which are measurable and finite a.e., under pointwise addition and multiplication. The extended Fourier transform

We use scanning nitrogen vacancy magnetometry to directly image the weak in‐plane magnetic moments in mixed phase BiFeO3 at the nanoscale and quantify the local magnetic moments to be 18.8±2.0 μB/nm2 in the rhombohedral‐like phase and 1.5±0.6 μB/nm2 in the well‐known non‐magnetic tetragonal‐like phase.

A signal theory approach to support vector classification: the sinc kernel [PDF]
Fourier-based regularisation is considered for the support vector machine classification problem over absolutely integrable loss functions. By invoking the modest assumption that the decision function belongs to a Paley–Wiener space, it is shown that the

Glissile Interphase Boundaries Enable Collective Phase Switching in Epitaxial Polar Oxides
A triple point is identified in the phase diagram of low‐symmetry epitaxial BiFeO3 thin film along with an extended regime of phase competition associated with a flattened energy landscape. The electromechanical response is shown to be governed by correlated interphase‐boundary motion, including scale‐free avalanche dynamics characteristic of systems ...

Fourier transforms of Lipschitz functions on certain Lie groups
We study the order of magnitude of the Fourier transforms of certain Lipschitz functions on the special linear group of real matrices of order two.

Chiral Phase Change Nanomaterials
This work demonstrates reversible, non‐volatile phase transitions in chiral Ge2${\rm Ge}_2$Sb2${\rm Sb}_2$Te5${\rm Te}_5$ (GST) nanohelices for high‐speed optical modulation of chirality and dynamic control of the state of polarization (SOP). The chiral nanostructures are fabricated using a highly directional, wafer‐scale physical vapor deposition ...

Fractional cyclic transforms in optics: theory and applications [PDF]
In this paper we review fractional linear integral transforms, which have been actively used during the last decade in optical information processing. The general algorithm for the fractionalization of the linear cyclic integral transforms is discussed ...

On the Replica Fourier Transform
The Replica Fourier Transform introduced previously is related to the standard definition of Fourier transforms over a group. Its use is illustrated by block-diagonalizing the eigenvalue equation of a four-replica Parisi matrix.
