Defocusing fourth-order coupled nonlinear Schrodinger equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2016
We study the initial value problem for some defocusing coupled nonlinear fourth-order Schrodinger equations. We show global well-posedness and scattering in the energy space.

The Influence of Field‐Assisted Sintering Technology (FAST) Temperature and Cooling Rate on the Microstructural Evolution in Gamma‐Titanium Aluminide Alloy GE4822

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Controlling the Field Assisted Sintering Technology (FAST) parameters, dwell temperature and cooling rate, significantly influences the microstructural evolution in titanium aluminide GE4822. Significant γ‐lamellar colonies develop only upon cooling through the α‐transus.

Uniform Amorphization of Crystalline Silicon Surfaces Enabled by Deep Ultraviolet Femtosecond Laser Pulses

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Deep‐UV (258 nm) femtosecond pulses enable uniform amorphous silicon writing on Si(100)/(111) with a six‐fold larger fluence amorphization window than NIR methods. Optimized fluence and overlap yield 20–45 nm uniform and continuous amorphous layers. Microscopy shows sharp interfaces, and real‐time reflectivity reveals nanosecond melt–resolidification ...

Oscillation criteria for fourth-order nonlinear delay dynamic equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2013
We obtain criteria for the oscillation of all solutions to a fourth-order nonlinear delay dynamic equation on a time scale that is unbounded from above.

Ferroelectricity in Antiferromagnetic Wurtzite Nitrides

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We establish MnSiN2${\rm MnSiN}_2$ and MnGeN2${\rm MnGeN}_2$ as aristotypes of a new multiferroic wurtzite family that simultaneously exhibits ferroelectricity and antiferromagnetism with altermagnetic spin splitting. By strategically substituting alkaline‐earth metals, we predict new materials with coexisting switchable polarization, spin texture, and

Uniqueness and parameter dependence of solutions of fourth-order four-point nonhomogeneous BVPs

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2010
In this article, we investigate the fourth-order four-point nonhomogeneous Sturm-Liouville boundary-value problem $$displaylines{ u^{(4)}(t)=f(t,u(t)),quad tin [0,1], cr alpha u(0)-eta u'(0)=gamma u(1)+delta u'(1)=0, cr au''(xi _1)-bu'''(xi _1 ...

Spin Injection Of Exciton–Polaritons With Halide Perovskites At Room Temperature

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A monolithic Tamm‐plasmon microcavity embedding a two‐dimensional halide perovskite enables room‐temperature spin injection of exciton‐polaritons under quasi‐resonant optical excitation. Polarization‐resolved spectroscopy reveals partial preservation of the injected spin in the lower polariton branch, while bare excitons remain fully depolarized.

Optical Signature of Moiré Superlattices Formed by Twisted SrTiO3 Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We discover optical signatures from bonded interfaces in twisted SrTiO3 moiré superlattices, including low‐frequency Raman vibrational modes and strong second‐harmonic generation, consistent with strong interlayer coupling inferred from cross‐sectional electron microscopy and ab initio calculations. ABSTRACT Moiré superlattices formed at the interfaces
