Biofilm‐Antagonist Ginger‐Based 3D‐Printable Photoresins for Complex Implant Designs Exhibiting Advanced Multifunctional Biomedical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work offers unique Ginger‐based 3D‐printable resins that can print customizable high‐resolution complex designs. The customizable printing backbone of Zingerol prints also mimics various human bones' strength. Acquisition of in‐vivo biocompatibility in rat model with no severe inflammatory response, along with in‐vitro antioxidant and ex‐vivo anti‐

Tunable Enhancement of T Cell Expansion Through Modulation of Stiffness and Adhesion Receptor Engagement in an Engineered Hydrogel Platform

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We develop a hydrogel scaffold with controlled substrate stiffness and ligand functionalization for cell culture. Stiff substrates presenting CD3/CD28/CD2 ligands induce 2000‐fold expansion of T cells; this is 68% greater than the clinical standard (Dynabeads) and the first hydrogel capable of large‐scale expansion. Although expanding at a lower yield,

Fourth order rotatability

Communications in Statistics - Simulation and Computation, 1985
Fourth order rotatable designs are discussed. A general k, design moment inequality is given. The variance function for two-factor designs is derived, and plotted for a specific design. A minimum point set requirement for two-factor designs is established, thus enabling one to form an infinity of such designs. Some difficulties in obtaining deLigns for

Two-photon fourth-order polarimetery

Optics Letters, 2005
We demonstrate a fourth-order polarimeter that employs two-photon detection to measure the fourth-order polarization coherency matrix (FOCM) of an optical signal. We measure the FOCM of picosecond pulses subjected to polarization mode dispersion (PMD).

A fourth-order poisson solver

Journal of Computational Physics, 1984
High order finite difference approximations (Hodie, OCI, SCHOS, Collatz's Mehrstellenverfahren) have been proposed for various partial differential equations. All reduce to the last for the Poisson equation. The accuracy and computational efficiency of these are compared for a test problem.

Fourth-Order Blood Pressure Waves

JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1990
A critically ill 80-year-old man had blood pressure waves with a period of about 30 minutes. These blood pressure oscillations, lasting longer than 18 hours, were accompanied by oscillations in heart rate, central venous pressure, pulmonary arterial pressure, and oxygen saturation of mixed venous blood.

Fourth-Order Tensors

2009
Fourth-order tensors play an important role in continuum mechanics where they appear as elasticity and compliance tensors. In this section we define fourth-order tensors and learn some basic operations with them. To this end, we consider a set \(\mathcal{L}{\text{ in}}^{n}\) of all linear mappings of one second-order tensor into another one within ...
