Wave equation and dispersion relations for a compressible rotating fluid

open access: yes, 2006
A fundamental non-classical fourth-order partial differential equation to describe small amplitude linear oscillations in a rotating compressible fluid, is obtained.

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

On stability and boundedness of solutions of a certain fourth-order delay differential equation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1989
Using a Razumikhin - type theorem, we deduce sufficient conditions that guarantee the uniform asymptotic stability and boundedness of solutions of a scalar real fourth-order delay differential equation.

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Non-ergodic transitions in many-body Langevin systems: a method of dynamical system reduction

open access: yes, 2006
We study a non-ergodic transition in a many-body Langevin system. We first derive an equation for the two-point time correlation function of density fluctuations, ignoring the contributions of the third- and fourth-order cumulants.

Stein meets Malliavin in normal approximation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Stein's method is a method of probability approximation which hinges on the solution of a functional equation. For normal approximation the functional equation is a first order differential equation.

Effect of chemotherapy on passenger mutations in metastatic colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Changes in passenger mutation load and predicted immunotherapy response after chemotherapy treatment. Tumor cells rich with passenger mutations have increased sensitivity to chemotherapy. Correlation of passenger mutations with neoantigen load suggests highly mutated clones promote a more effective response to immunotherapy, and therefore, first‐line ...

Anomalous scaling in random shell models for passive scalars

open access: yes, 1996
A shell-model version of Kraichnan's (1994 {\it Phys. Rev. Lett. \bf 72}, 1016) passive scalar problem is introduced which is inspired from the model of Jensen, Paladin and Vulpiani (1992 {\it Phys. Rev. A\bf 45}, 7214).

Numerical Solutions of Fourth-Order Fractional Integro-Differential Equations [PDF]

open access: yesZeitschrift für Naturforschung A, 2010
In this paper, the homotopy perturbation method (HPM) is developed to obtain numerical solutions of linear and nonlinear boundary value problems for fourth-order fractional integro-differential equations. The fractional derivatives are described in the Caputo sense.

Understanding bio‐based polymers: A study of origins, properties, biodegradation and their impact on health and the environment

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This review provides an overview of bio‐based polymer sources, their unique functional properties and their environmental impact, and addresses their role as sustainable alternatives. It discusses end‐of‐life options, including composting and anaerobic digestion for renewable energy.
