The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Stability and boundedness of solutions to certain fourth-order differential equations
We give criteria for the asymptotic stability and boundedness of solutions to the nonlinear fourth-order ordinary differential equation $$ x^{(4)}+varphi (ddot{x})dddot{x}+f(x,dot{x}) ddot{x}+g(dot{x})+h(x)=p(t,x,dot{x},ddot{x},dddot{x}),, $$ when $

The effect of temperature controllers that are commonly used in freeze‐casting is investigated in this work. Temperature controllers are observed to generate a voltage in the slurry. Microstructural alignment and ultimate compressive strength data show this voltage to interfere with the ability to align the microstructure using magnetic fields ...

A nonlocal problem for loaded partial differential equations of fourth order
A nonlocal problem for the fourth order system of loaded partial differential equations is considered. The questions of a existence unique solution of the considered problem and ways of its construction are investigated.

This study investigates laser shock peening for enhancing fatigue performance of riveted aerospace aluminum joints. A comparative approach with cold expansion combines fatigue testing and synchrotron X‐ray methods. Integrating mechanical testing with residual stress and strain characterization provides insights into how different treatments affect the ...

An Inkjet‐Printed Platinum‐Based Temperature Sensing Element on Polyimide Substrates
An inkjet‐printed, meander‐structured, nanoparticle platinum‐based resistive temperature sensors on polyimide substrates are demonstrated as proof‐of‐concept. Optimized sintering at 250°C enables stable conductive structures. The Pt100‐ and Pt1000‐type sensors exhibit linear resistance–temperature characteristics with stable TCR in the 20°C–80°C range,
