Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo's IDPs camps in Goma have very few mothers who are exclusively breastfeeding their children, which is less than half of what is considered the standard by both national and international guidelines. Predictors of Intimate Partner Violence Among Reproductive Age Group Women in Mozambique

open access: yesPublic Health Challenges, Volume 5, Issue 3, September 2026.
Intimate partner violence affects 24.8% of women in Mozambique. Key risk factors include partner alcohol use, intergenerational violence and women's employment, whereas higher education, wealth and older age are protective. Findings highlight the need for integrated interventions targeting alcohol use, family violence and gender norms.
