The damage and failure mechanism of prestatically loaded rock during medium‐strain rate cyclic impact loading

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
Based on experimental results and theoretical analysis, an established rock damage accumulation model that comprehensively considers the preapplied static load, impact peak value, impact frequency, and impact times. Abstract To study the rock damage mechanism under high static loading and superimposed medium strain rate cyclic impact loading, a series ...

β‐Lactoglobulin Stabilized Emulsions: A Small Angle X‐Ray Scattering Study on Stability, Ageing, and Thermal Effects

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Lipid Science and Technology, EarlyView.
This study investigates the structural differences in β‐lactoglobulin stabilized emulsions (BLGem) under various conditions (fresh, aged, and aged at high temperature) using small angle x‐ray scattering (SAXS). The graph shows change in intensity over a range of scattering vectors, with visual evidence of emulsions at different conditions.

Image‐Based Quantification of Deposited Lithium on Li Metal Surfaces

open access: yesEnergy Technology, EarlyView.
Images of lithium deposition in a Li||Li in situ cell are recorded. Two evaluation algorithms, a rule‐based approach and a neural network‐based approach, are designed and then used to evaluate the lithium deposition process. These algorithms allow to quickly and objectively assess and quantify the lithium deposition process, determining its physical ...
