Community composition, abundance and activity‐density of carabids and staphylinids depend on prey abundance and adjacent habitat even in diverse agricultural landscapes

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
Carabid and staphylinid communities are shaped by adjacent habitat type, prey availability and landscape context, influencing natural pest control across agricultural landscapes. Abstract BACKGROUND The functioning of agroecosystems depends on key ecosystem processes that deliver ecosystem services, yet agricultural management has increasingly shifted ...

Phase I Multivariate Coefficient of Variation Control Charts for High‐Dimensional Processes

open access: yesQuality and Reliability Engineering International, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Multivariate control charts have traditionally focused on monitoring the process mean vector and/or covariance matrix. Recent studies have extended this framework to Phase II monitoring of the multivariate coefficient of variation (MCV); yet very limited work has examined MCV‐based monitoring in Phase I.

On the compatibility of single‐scan terrestrial LiDAR with digital photogrammetry and field inventory metrics of vegetation structure in forest and agroforestry landscapes

open access: yesRemote Sensing in Ecology and Conservation, EarlyView.
The single‐scan approach to terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) and the self‐terrain‐normalized form of drone‐based digital aerial photogrammetry (DAP) offer practical options for rapid assessment of the vegetation structure in tropical landscapes.

A Methodological Pathway for Supporting the Transition From Theory to Practice in Action‐Oriented Research for Transformative Change

open access: yesSustainable Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Over recent decades, action‐oriented research has gained prominence in co‐producing actionable knowledge to drive transformative change toward sustainability. However, further methodological developments are needed to support the transition to the application phase of such knowledge.

Bottom‐Up Synthesis and Active Assembly of DNA Networks by Biomolecular Nanomachines

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates a dynamic, bottom‐up assembly of DNA materials driven by two biomolecular nanomachines: DNA polymerase and kinesin. Through sequential chemical synthesis and motor‐driven mechanical manipulation, DNA fibrous networks are dynamically formed with complex morphologies unattainable by self‐assembly alone.
