Fractal antenna engineering: the theory and design of fractal antenna arrays
IEEE Antennas and Propagation Magazine, 1999A fractal is a recursively generated object having a fractional dimension. Many objects, including antennas, can be designed using the recursive nature of a fractal. In this article, we provide a comprehensive overview of recent developments in the field of fractal antenna engineering, with particular emphasis placed on the theory and design of fractal

A Circular Fractal Antenna Array
2019 National Conference on Communications (NCC), 2019In this paper, different arrays of the circular fractal antenna are analyzed. The various array design configurations are 1 $\times 2,1\times 4,2\times 2$ and $2\times 4$ . The substrate used is FR4 whose dimension is varied according to the array configurations.

Simulation of Koch fractal antennas
2013 26th IEEE Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (CCECE), 2013This paper describes selected simulations results of the Koch fractal antennas. The variation trends of the voltage standing-wave ration (VSWR), S11, and other parameters of the antenna have been studied with respect to the initiator, generator and three fractal iterates.

Novel Fractal and MEMS Fractal Antennas
2007 International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology, 2007Two novel hybrid fractal monopole antennas, Koch fractal loaded Sierpinski gasket are proposed in this paper. Simulated results suggest that the traditional Sierpinski gasket antenna can be loaded by fractal shaped elements to miniaturize the antenna while maintaining its multi-band behavior.

A novel multiband antenna: fractal antenna
International Conference on Communication Technology Proceedings, 2003. ICCT 2003., 2004Fractal-shaped antennas have already been proved to have some unique characteristics that are linked to the geometrical properties of the fractals. The purpose of this article is to introduce the concept of the fractal, review the progress in fractal antenna study and implementation, compare different types of fractal antenna elements and arrays and ...

Design of wideband fractal antenna with combination of fractal geometries
2011 8th International Conference on Information, Communications & Signal Processing, 2011A new small size fractal antenna is proposed for the application in wide-band frequency range. It is designed with the combinations of two fractal geometries. The wideband mechanism is explored by investigating the behaviour of the current on the patch. The length and width of Koch and cantor fractal geometries are optimized to achieve a wide bandwidth.

A Yagi antenna with three fractal Koch curve shaped elements is proposed in this paper. The antenna performances (radiation pattern, return loss and gain) are simulated and compared with these of classical Yagi antenna for the same frequency band. Fractal Yagi antenna features relatively small size and high gain.

The use of fractal antenna techniques to reduce the size of a UHF linear dipole is investigated and discussed. Fractal designs are derived using an empirical method and a genetic algorithm based method. While both achieve size reduction, the latter design shows the most promise from a size reduction and design methodology standpoint, since simulation ...
