An ACO algorithm for image compression

open access: yesCLEI Electronic Journal, 2006
This paper is an application of Ant Colony Metaheuristic (ACO) to the problem of image fractal compression using IFS. An ACO hybrid algorithm is proposed for image fractal compression and the results obtained are shown. According to the tests carried out,

An experimental study of the fracture morphology of marble under dynamic loading

open access: yesShuiwen dizhi gongcheng dizhi, 2022
To investigate the fracture morphology characteristics of marble under dynamic loading, the dynamic compression and splitting tests of rock samples under different impact velocities are carried out using the split-Hopkinson pressure bar.

Evolution Rules of Fractures for Mudstone under Compression Shear Load and the Fractal Characteristics of Broken Blocks

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2019
Failure of rocks is commonly induced by compressive and shear coupling loading. Knowledge of the mechanism and process of deformation and failure of rocks under compressive shear loading condition is an important basis for the study of stability in rock ...

Study on the relation between damage and permeability of sandstone at depth under cyclic loading

open access: yesInternational Journal of Coal Science & Technology, 2019
The damage and permeability evolution of rock under stress is of great significance to engineering safety. In this paper, the evolution law of rock damage and permeability is studied by means of acoustic emission (AE) seepage experiment on deep roof ...

Fluorescent Nanosensor for Indole‐3‐Propionic Acid Detection in Gut Health Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a fluorescent nanosensor system with two optical modalities for detection of indole‐3‐propionic acid (IPA) gut metabolite: (1) blue‐emitting cationic conjugated polyelectrolyte (CP3) and (2) near‐infrared (NIR)‐emitting CP3‐wrapped single‐walled carbon nanotube (SWNT).

Mapping Nanoscale Protein‐Corona Kinetics of DoE‐Optimized Perfluorocarbon Encapsulated‐PLGA Nanoparticles by In Situ, Time‐Resolved Synchrotron SAXS

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A two‐phase workflow (OFAT screening followed by central composite design) maps how processing variables tune PFCE‐PLGA nanoparticle size, dispersity, surface charge, loading, and 19F‐MRI signal. In situ, time‐resolved synchrotron SAXS tracks albumin‐corona growth on intact dispersions and reveals PFCE‐dependent adsorption pathways.

Research on image compression encoding based on fixed dictionary

open access: yesSystems Science & Control Engineering
With the widespread application of IoT technology, a large amount of image data must be transmitted through networks. Owing to the current limited bandwidth, it is necessary to compress images to satisfy the requirements for real-time image transmission.
