Fractal Image Compression on Hexagonal Structure
Fractal image compression (FIC) is a relatively recent image compression method. Its basic idea is to represent images as a fixed point of a contractive Iterated Function System (IFS).

ABSTRACT Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains a significant clinical challenge due to the limited efficacy of conventional treatments like surgery, radiofrequency ablation (RFA), and transarterial embolization (TAE). Here, we develop an innovative TAE and immunothermal therapy strategy based on smartly assembled near‐micron layered double hydroxide ...

Bioinspired Morphology‐Decoupled Soft Gripper with Enhanced Bidirectional Grasping Capability
Inspired by biological predation, a novel gripper decouples cross‐modal grasping via dual morphological configurations. Synergistically integrating hybrid rigid and soft coupled fingers with a metamaterial palm, the system performs active compliant grasping for static objects and passive cage capture for dynamic targets.

Effects of Water Immersion on the Long-Term Bearing Characteristics of Crushed Gangue in Goaf
To study the long-term bearing characteristics of crushed gangue in goaf under water immersion conditions, the creep test of the crushed gangue in the water immersion state was performed by using the self-developed large-scale deformation-seepage test ...

Two-dimensional AMR simulations of colliding flows
Colliding flows are a commonly used scenario for the formation of molecular clouds in numerical simulations. Due to the thermal instability of the warm neutral medium, turbulence is produced by cooling.

Scaling Laws and Intermittency in Highly Compressible Turbulence [PDF]
We use large-scale three-dimensional simulations of supersonic Euler turbulence to study the physics of a highly compressible cascade. Our numerical experiments describe non-magnetized driven turbulent flows with an isothermal equation of state and an ...
