Fractal Dimension of Backbone of Eden Trees [PDF]
We relate the fractal dimension of the backbone, and the spectral dimension of Eden trees to the dynamical exponent z. In two dimensions, it gives fractal dimension of backbone equal to 4/3 and spectral dimension of trees equal to 5/4.

Estimating the Dimension of a Fractal
SUMMARY We suggest refinements of the box counting method which address the obvious problems caused by the incomplete information and inaccessibility of the limit. A method for the statistical analysis of these corrected data is developed and tested on simulated and real data.
