Design of wideband fractal antenna with combination of fractal geometries

2011 8th International Conference on Information, Communications & Signal Processing, 2011
A new small size fractal antenna is proposed for the application in wide-band frequency range. It is designed with the combinations of two fractal geometries. The wideband mechanism is explored by investigating the behaviour of the current on the patch. The length and width of Koch and cantor fractal geometries are optimized to achieve a wide bandwidth.

Applications of fractal geometry to biology

Bioinformatics, 1992
The applications of concepts derived from fractal geometry to biological problems are described. Three major applications are identified: modelling of structures; investigation of theoretical problems; and the measurement of complexity. The review concentrates on methods and algorithms, including potential problems, which can be used with biological ...

DETERMINISTIC FRACTAL GEOMETRY AND PROBABILITY

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 1994
A possible connection between deterministic fractal geometry and the most important probabilistic models (Gaussian distribution and Brownian motion) is exhibited.

Valuations, Regular Expressions, and Fractal Geometry

Applicable Algebra in Engineering, Communication and Computing, 1995
Valuations of words and languages are homomorphisms of the free monoid over an alphabet of \(n\) letters, \((\Sigma_n, \cdot, \lambda)\), to the monoid (\((0, \infty),\cdot, 1)\). The author uses formal power series and valuations of languages to derive a characterization of so-called strongly unambiguous regular expressions.
