FRACTAL GEOMETRY IS HERITABLE IN TREES [PDF]
Understanding the genetic basis to landscape vegetation structure is an important step that will allow us to examine ecological and evolutionary processes at multiple spatial scales. Here for the first time we show that the fractal architecture of a dominant plant on the landscape exhibits high broad-sense heritability and thus has a genetic basis. The

Here, two types of electronic components are presented: a strain sensor and a stable resistor. Electrofluids properties are tuned to match these behaviors by selecting the type of filler. We show that the morphology of the filler together with its oxygen content are the key parameters to create electrical and mechanical networks with distinct responses.

An Interface Design for Calculation of Fractal Dimension
Partially insufficient is the modelling of irregular and complex forms using Euclidean geometry. On the other hand, fractal geometry allows irregular complex forms and structures to be expressed in mathematical terms. While fractal geometry appears to be

Design of Microstrip Antenna Using Fractal Geometry and Metamaterial
The performance improvement which was achieved in rectangular patch antenna was made by the use of fractal geometry and Left-Handed Metamaterial (LHM). The two types of fractal geometry used are 1st iteration of Minkoweski and Koch separately, while the

Fractals: An Eclectic Survey, Part II
Fractals are geometric shapes and patterns that can describe the roughness (or irregularity) present in almost every object in nature. Many fractals may repeat their geometry at smaller or larger scales.
