Fractal Analysis in Medical Imaging
International Journal of Nonlinear Sciences and Numerical Simulation, 2002Summary: Anatomic and functional studies of the living body have revealed that organs have structures in space and fluctuations in time that cannot be characterized by one spatial or temporal scale. Such as lung vasculature or vermis of the cerebellum has a structure in which its small scale appears similar to its large-scale form.

SECURE FRACTAL IMAGE CODING BASED ON FRACTAL PARAMETER ENCRYPTION
Fractals, 2009In recent work, various fractal image coding methods are reported, which adopt the self-similarity of images to compress the size of images. However, till now, no solutions for the security of fractal encoded images have been provided. In this paper, a secure fractal image coding scheme is proposed and evaluated, which encrypts some of the fractal ...

Entropy Constrained Fractal Image Coding
Fractals, 1997In this paper we present an entropy constrained fractal coding scheme. In order to get high compression rates, previous fractal coders used hierarchical coding schemes with variable range block sizes. Our scheme uses constant range block sizes, but the complexity of the fractal transformations is adapted to the image contents.

To encode an image by fractal image coding, it needs to find the best matched domain block for each range block. The best matched criteria is the difference measure between the range block and the domain block transformed by affine transform. This paper proposes a new method of fractal image coding, called weighted fractal image coding.

ABSTRACT The purpose of this thesis is to show that fractal image compression can be studied with the same point of view as conventional image compression techniques. The first chapter gives a brief on fractal compression technology. How was the early investigations. What is the base of Fractal Compression ? and whom made it available.

Fractal Images of Chemical Transformations
Doklady Chemistry, 2003Author formulates certain ideas on presentation of chemical reactions by virtue of discrete mathematics. Some problems of fractal presentation are illustrated by the Sierpinski carpet model with the Hausdorff dimensionality \(D = \frac{\log 8}{\log 3} = 1.8928\) by the Pascal's triangle, by the Galey tree.

Fractal color image compression
Proceedings 13th Brazilian Symposium on Computer Graphics and Image Processing (Cat. No.PR00878), 2002The paper presents a new fractal color image compression method, called Fractal Hierarchical Color Block Coding (FHCBC), which transforms the three-color planes of a color image into a one-component image by extracting correlation among them. It hierarchically divides the three-color planes into homogeneous blocks, and for each such block, the variance

Fractal Based Image Indexing and Retrieval
2009Fractal based image coding has been shown to work well. The main reason is the ability to capture much significant information while discarding most of the redundancy. Therefore, a similar theoretical apparatus can be used to design a system that extracts information suitable for content based image indexing. After introducing the basics of partitioned

Image compression with fractals
IEE Colloquium on Fractals in Signal and Image Processing, 1995Fractal image compression has gone through more than twenty years developments among which, IFS based compression algorithm stands out as the most promising direction for further research and development. The basic idea is to represent an image by fractals.
