Application of Fractal Interpolation in Rainfall Series in Hydrodynamic Models
In order to solve the problem of inaccurate simulation results caused by low-precision rainfall time data to hydrological and hydrodynamic models, the fractal interpolation of the iterative function system was used to interpolate the rainfall time data ...

EEG Biomarkers for Affective Disorders Diagnosis: An Evaluation and Validation Study
In this review, we introduce 25 EEG biomarkers for affective disorders diagnosis. We then validate their predictive ability across a public EEG dataset composed of healthy controls and subjects with different affective disorders, and provide a comprehensive analysis and discussion.

Extreme Rainfall Estimation Methods: A Review
The figure illustrates the topics we cover and their inter‐relationships. Extreme value models assign probabilities to rainfall depths, often using regionalisation. They may also allow variation with season, duration, climate epoch or the spatial extent of rainfall. The resulting storm depths can be assigned spatial and/or temporal profiles.

A Metric for Quantifying Spatial Heterogeneity in Gridded Atmospheric Fields
Abstract Spatial heterogeneity influences many nonlinear atmospheric processes but it is often described qualitatively or with simple statistical measures that do not capture spatial organization. We introduce a mixing‐oriented metric for gridded fields based on the expected deviation of subdomain means from the global average.

Nonlinear Fractal Interpolation Functions Induced by General Integral Contractions
The development of fractal set theory has been strongly driven by the introduction of new classes of fractal sets, among which the attractors of iterated function systems (IFSs) play a central role.

Diabetic Corneal Neuropathy as a Window Into Diabetic Foot Risk: A Large‐Scale Association Study
ABSTRACT Aims To evaluate the association between diabetic corneal neuropathy and diabetic foot risk by examining corneal nerve features, clinical characteristics, and tear mediators in patients with different diabetic foot risk categories. Methods In this cross‐sectional study, 710 participants underwent diabetic foot examination, in vivo confocal ...

Exploring EEG and ECG in Music Listening: A Scoping Review
ABSTRACT Music listening, a common daily activity recognized for its emotional impact and ability to evoke memories, engages physiological and psychological processes. Concurrent electroencephalography (EEG) and electrocardiography (ECG) during music listening can inform our understanding of these processes.

Metric spaces with small rough angles and the rectifiability of rough self‐contracted curves
Abstract The small rough angle (SRA$\operatorname{SRA}$) condition, introduced by Zolotov in arXiv:1804.00234, captures the idea that all angles formed by triples of points in a metric space are small. In the first part of the paper, we develop the theory of metric spaces (X,d)$(X,d)$ satisfying the SRA(α)$\operatorname{SRA}(\alpha)$ condition for some
