On the realization of Current-Mode Fractional-order Simulated Inductors

2019 IEEE International Symposium on Signal Processing and Information Technology (ISSPIT), 2019
The objective of this work is to revisit the design criteria of current-mode simulated inductors in order to realize their fractional-order versions. Numerical simulations and SPICE circuits simulations are carried out on these generalized fractional-order simulated inductors.

Simple Chaotic Oscillator with Wideband Passive Fractional-Order Inductor

2019 42nd International Conference on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (TSP), 2019
This paper demonstrates through computer-aided simulations that simple loop composed of single nonlinear active two-port and a fractional-order filter can generate robust chaotic attractor. Involved passive ladder trans-impedance mode filter contains two-terminal constant phase element that is accurately approximated in the frequency domain in wide ...

A Fractional-Order Model of Filter Inductors within Converter Control Bandwidth

2018 IEEE Electronic Power Grid (eGrid), 2018
The four-element equivalent inductor model is not accurate in the low frequency range. The paper model proposes an inductor model with fractional-order component that can model the increase of the resistance and the decrease of the inductance along the frequency. From controller design point of view, the frequency response of the inductor under control

Emulation of current excited fractional-order capacitors and inductors using OTA topologies

Microelectronics Journal, 2016
A novel topology suitable for emulating fractional-order capacitors and inductors using current excitation is achieved using a fractional-order differentiator/integrator block and appropriately configured Operational Transconductance Amplifiers. The scheme is capable of emulating both fractional-order capacitors and fractional-order inductors without ...

Analysis of an Oscillation Circuit with a Linear Time-invariant Inductor and a Capacitor Modelled with Conformal Fractional Order Derivative

European Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, 2022
Fractional order circuit elements are being examined by researchers unremittingly. They are ever becoming more popular in the literature. The Conformable Fractional Derivative has been proposed and gained importance in the last decade. Examination of an LC tank circuit or an LC oscillator can be found in almost all undergrad physics books.

Compact Fractional-Order Model of On-Chip Inductors With BCB on High Resistivity Silicon

IEEE Transactions on Components, Packaging and Manufacturing Technology, 2020
Fractional-order calculus exhibits clear advantages over modeling the nonlinear and complex physics phenomena. In this article, fractional-order calculus is introduced to the field of on-chip inductor modeling. A novel fractional-order 1- $\pi $ inductor equivalent circuit model is proposed to characterize on-chip inductors based on silicon ...

Emulation of Fractional-Order Capacitors (CPEs) and Inductors (FOIs)

2017
The design of fractional-order capacitors and inductor emulators is introduced in a systematic way procedure, where the second-order approximation of the CFE is utilized in order to approximate the variable s α of fractional calculus. OTAs are employed as building blocks, using MOS transistors biased in subthreshold region, offering the advantage of ...
