Front dynamics in fractional-order epidemic models [PDF]
A number of recent studies suggest that human and animal mobility patterns exhibit scale-free, Lévy-flight dynamics. However, current reaction-diffusion epidemics models do not account for the superdiffusive spread of modern epidemics due to Lévy flights.

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

A New State of Charge Estimation Method for Lithium-Ion Battery Based on the Fractional Order Model
This paper presents that the fractional order Kalman filter (FOKF) method is used to estimate the state of charge (SOC) for lithium-ion battery based on the fractional order model.

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Dynamics of fractional order modified Morris-Lecar neural model [PDF]
Most of the beautiful biological functions in neural systems are expected to happen considering the system with memory effect. Fractional differential equations are very useful to investigate long-range interacting systems or systems with memory effect ...

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Dynamical Behavior of Fractional Order SVIR Epidemic Model
In this Paper, we proposed a fractional order SVIR epidemic model is incorporated to investigate its dynamical behavior in random environments. S, V, I, R are known as variables and these variables represent the number of susceptible, vaccinated ...
