Closed Loop System Identification of a DC Motor using Fractional Order Model
2019 International Conference on Mechatronics, Robotics and Systems Engineering (MoRSE), 2019Good mathematical models are vital for design of model based controllers and accurate system response predictions. Such mathematical models can be derived by employing either first principle method or empirical method.

Stability analysis of a prey-predator fractional order model incorporating prey refuge
Ecological Genetics and Genomics, 2018In this paper, a fractional-order prey-predator model with Holling type II response function incorporating prey refuge has been proposed. We first prove the existence, uniqueness, non-negativity and boundedness of the solution for the considered model ...

Nonlinear Dynamics, 2002
By using simple examples, this paper illustrates the kinds of results one may expect to obtain by using fractional calculus in model-reference adaptive control. Two approaches are considered. In the first one fractional derivatives are used for the adjustment rules, and in the second one it is the reference model itself which is fractional.

The multi-model approach for fractional-order systems modelling
Transactions of the Institute of Measurement and Control, 2016Currently, fractional-order systems are attracting the attention of many researchers because they present a better representation of many physical systems in several areas, compared with integer-order models. This article contains two main contributions. In the first one, we suggest a new approach to fractional-order systems modelling.

2015 54th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (CDC), 2015
This paper aims at designing a fractional order differentiator based on a integer order linear system with zero initial conditions, where the fractional derivatives of the output are estimated using the output observation corrupted by a non zero-mean noise.

Fractional Order Modeling And Nonlinear Fractional Order Pi‐Type Control For PMLSM System
Asian Journal of Control, 2016AbstractIn this paper, firstly a fractional order (FO) model is proposed for the speed control of a permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM) servo system. To identify the parameters of the FO model, a practical modeling algorithm is presented.

Optimal control of a fractional-order model for the HIV/AIDS epidemic
International Journal of Biomathematics, 2018In this paper, we present a general formulation for a fractional optimal control problem (FOCP), in which the state and co-state equations are given in terms of the left fractional derivatives.

Development and Analysis of Fractional-order Two-Group Models and Fractional-order Nodal Model
2018In this chapter, the multienergy group framework is considered and two fractional-order models are developed. These models are in the form of coupled, linear partial differential equations representing the movement of fast and thermal neutrons. Various features of these models are discussed. The fractional-order nodal model is also developed.
