Fractionated CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing
2014Ablative laser skin resurfacing may produce dramatic effects, with significant risk, side effects, and healing time. Efforts are always being made to find devices and treatment strategies that lessen the healing time and side effect profile of the full-ablative short-pulse CO2 and erbium-YAG lasers while extending the clinical applications ...

Oxygen isotope fractionation between CO2 and H2O
Chemical Geology, 1983The 18O fractionation between CO2 and H2O at 10–60°C was determined by measuring the 18O/16O ratio in water and CO2 equilibrated with this water. For determining δ18O of water a new method was applied by which oxygen is quantitatively converted to CO2 by reaction with carbon in a small nickel tube.

Fractional CO2 Laser for Vulvovaginal Atrophy.
Journal of the Medical Association of Thailand = Chotmaihet thangphaet, 2018To evaluate the short term efficacy and safety of Fractional CO2 laser for the treatment of vulvovaginal atrophy. From March 2015 to October 2015, 112 menopausal women were recruited. All women with VVA were treated by using Fractional CO2 laser; power 30 watts, 1-3 stacks with 360° vaginal probe for 3 consecutive times, 4 weeks apart.

Dermal Remodeling of Burn Scar by Fractional CO2 Laser
Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, 2016Ablative CO2 fractional lasers have recently been introduced for burn scar treatment because of pronounced clinical outcomes with fewer treatment sessions than nonablative fractional laser. This study was conducted to observe clinical as well as histologic changes of burn scars after treatment with CO2 fractional laser.Eleven patients (one female and 10

A pathergic response to fractional CO2.
Journal of drugs in dermatology : JDD, 2013Pathergy is a nonspecific response to stimuli seen in a multitude of disease states. We present what we feel is a unique variant of this phenomenon, a case of multiple keratoacanthomas developing following treatment with Fractional CO2. This state of acute tumor emergence, which is similar to an isomorphic response, is believed to be related to changes

Significant alleviation of Darier's disease with fractional CO2 laser
Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy, 2014Darier's disease (DD) is a dominantly inherited genodermatosis with highly variable expression. It is characterized by symmetrical hyperkeratotic papules affecting seborrheic areas and extremities. The existence of unsightly lesions could lead to discomfort and social handicap.

Modelling of orange flower concrete fractionation by supercritical CO2
The Journal of Supercritical Fluids, 1999Abstract Supercritical CO2 extraction was used to post-process a semi-solid orange flower extract produced by liquid solvent extraction. The optimum process conditions to separate volatile oil were 90 bar and 40°C. At these conditions no undesired compounds were co-extracted except waxes.

Ablative Fractional CO2 Laser for Facial Atrophic Acne Scars
Facial Plastic Surgery, 2018AbstractAblative fractional carbon dioxide laser resurfacing is a well-established treatment for acne scars. However, there are limited consensus and guidelines regarding the procedure, such as its treatment plan, efficacy, and safety. In this study, we performed a systematic review to assess the efficacy and safety of the fractional carbon dioxide ...

Fractional CO2 Thermo-Ablative Vaginal Laser Therapy
2019CO2 thermo-ablative lasers apply fractional micro-trauma to the lamina propria of the vaginal mucosa (the vaginal lining), causing immediate collagen fibre contractions, followed by inducing a repair and restoration of the vaginal architecture (initiation of new collagen and elastin synthesis), thus inducing a histologically confirmed restoration of ...

Combined Fractionated CO2 and Low-Power Erbium:YAG Laser Treatments
Facial Plastic Surgery Clinics of North America, 2012This article addresses the use of fractionated CO(2) laser and erbium:YAG laser for facial rejuvenation. Outcomes and limitations of these techniques are discussed, along with a stepwise summary of techniques as they are used in clinical practice.
