Welding of aluminium with CO2-laser

open access: yes, 2022
S.164ff.In industrial production, CO2-lasers have been used in welding steel components for several years. The use of CO2-lasers in deep penetration welding of aluminium alloys was hindered up to now due to the properties of these materials.

Polymer‐Grafted Cu(II) Metal–Organic Polyhedra as Scalable, Melt‐Processable Porous Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The use of a direct synthetic route to obtain polymer‐grafted Cu(II)‐based metal–organic polyhedra gives rise to a low‐cost and scalable cage. This material combines low‐temperature melting, achieving phase changes while preserving cage integrity, and high CO2 uptake exceeding 0.6 mmol g−1.

Comparison of Fractional CO2 Laser Versus Combined Platelet Rich Plasma and Fractional CO2 Laser in Treatment of Post Acne Scars

open access: yesJournal of Pakistan Association of Dermatologists
Background:  Acne scars are a common disfiguring sequela of acne, significantly impacting patients' psychosocial well-being. A comprehensive approach tailored to individual needs is essential to treat this complex condition. Fractional carbon dioxide laser induces controlled injury to the skin promoting scar remodeling.

Laser treatment of solar lentigines on dorsum of hands: QS Ruby laser versus ablative CO2 fractional laser - a randomized controlled trial

open access: yes, 2015
BACKGROUND: Lentigines solares (LS) on the dorsum of hands are often esthetically disturbing. Q-switched ruby laser treatment is highly effective in the treatment of these lesions. Ablative fractional photothermolysis may be a suitable alternative.
