A Framework for Derivative Pricing in the Fractional Black-Scholes Market [PDF]

open access: yes
The aim of this paper is to develop a framework for evaluating derivatives if the underlying of the derivative contract is supposed to be driven by a fractional Brownian motion with Hurst parameter greater than 0.5.

Fuzzy fractional integral equations under compactness type condition

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper we study a fuzzy fractional integral equation. The fractional derivative is considered in the sense of Riemann-Liouville and we establish existence of the solutions of fuzzy fractional integral equations using the Hausdorff measure of ...

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

An unexpected alternative viologen electron mediator site in tungsten‐containing formate dehydrogenase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Fractional Brownian Motion as a Differentiable Generalized Gaussian Process [PDF]

open access: yes
Brownian motion can be characterized as a generalized random process and, as such, has a generalized derivative whose covariance functional is the delta function. In a similar fashion, fractional Brownian motion can be interpreted as a generalized random

Proposal for use of the fractional derivative of radial functions in interpolation problems

open access: yes
This paper presents the construction of a family of radial functions aimed at emulating the behavior of the radial basis function known as thin plate spline (TPS). Additionally, a method is proposed for applying fractional derivatives, both partially and

FRACTIONAL DERIVATIVES.

open access: yes, 2023
The article provides a brief historical overview of the development of fractional computing, and considers special functions of mathematical analysis for working with non-integer derivatives. Caputo and Riemann-Liouville fractional derivatives are considered.
