β‐TrCP overexpression enhances cisplatin sensitivity by depleting BRCA1

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low levels of β‐TrCP (Panel A) allow the accumulation of BRCA1 and CtIP, which facilitate the repair of cisplatin‐induced DNA damage via homologous recombination (HR) and promote tumor cell survival. In contrast, high β‐TrCP expression (Panel B) leads to BRCA1 and CtIP degradation, impairing HR repair, resulting in persistent DNA damage and apoptosis ...

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

A Generalized Fractional Calculus of Variations

open access: yes, 2013
We study incommensurate fractional variational problems in terms of a generalized fractional integral with Lagrangians depending on classical derivatives and generalized fractional integrals and derivatives.

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Optimizing Variational Problems through Weighted Fractional Derivatives

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
In this article, we explore a variety of problems within the domain of calculus of variations, specifically in the context of fractional calculus. The fractional derivative we consider incorporates the notion of weighted fractional derivatives along with

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Weyl quantization of fractional derivatives [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Physics, 2008
The quantum analogs of the derivatives with respect to coordinates qk and momenta pk are commutators with operators Pk and Qk. We consider quantum analogs of fractional Riemann–Liouville and Liouville derivatives. To obtain the quantum analogs of fractional Riemann–Liouville derivatives, which are defined on a finite interval of the real axis, we use a

Atangana-Baleanu and Caputo Fabrizio Analysis of Fractional Derivatives for Heat and Mass Transfer of Second Grade Fluids over a Vertical Plate: A Comparative Study

open access: yesEntropy, 2017
This communication addresses a comparison of newly presented non-integer order derivatives with and without singular kernel, namely Michele Caputo–Mauro Fabrizio (CF) C F ( ∂ β / ∂ t β ) and Atangana–Baleanu (AB) A B ( ∂ α / ∂ t α ) fractional ...

PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells enhances bortezomib sensitivity in multiple myeloma cells by altering their metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigated how PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) indirectly affects multiple myeloma (MM) cell metabolism and viability. Culturing MM cells in conditioned medium from PYCR1‐silenced BMSCs impaired oxidative phosphorylation and increased sensitivity to bortezomib.
