In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

On a class of nonlocal problems for hyperbolic equations with degeneration of type and order

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2014
Nonlocal problems for the second order hyperbolic model equation were studied in the characteristic area. The type and order of equations degenerate on the same line $y = 0$.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Analysis of the difference scheme of wave equation equivalent with fractional differentiation operator

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2014
Analysis of the difference scheme of boundary-value problem for the wave equation analogue is made. Explicit and implicit difference schemes for numerical solution of the first boundary-value problem for the wave equation analogue with Caputo fractional ...

Green Functions of the First Boundary-Value Problem for a Fractional Diffusion—Wave Equation in Multidimensional Domains

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
We construct the Green function of the first boundary-value problem for a diffusion-wave equation with fractional derivative with respect to the time variable.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Realization of fractional order controllers [PDF]

open access: yesActa Montanistica Slovaca, 2003
An approach to realizations of fractional-order controllers is presented. The suggested approach is based on the use of continued fraction expansions.

A Novel Fractional-Order Differentiation Model for Low-Dose CT Image Processing

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2016
Low-dose CT (LDCT) images tend to be degraded by excessive mottle noise and steak artifacts. In this paper, we proposed a novel fractional-order differentiation model that can be applied to LDCT image processing as a post-processing technique.
