A Dual‐Functional Electrolyte Additive for Highly Reversible Zinc‐Ion Batteries
This study introduces tetrabutylammonium bromide (TBAB) as a dual‐function additive for aqueous zinc‐ion batteries. TBAB disrupts the hydrogen‐bond network of water while TBA+ adsorbs on Zn to improve interfacial wettability and regulate Zn2+ flux, resulting in suppressed dendrite growth and parasitic reactions. This synergy extended the lifespan of Zn|

MXene Wrapped Magnetic Mesocrystals for Durable Redox Catalytic Cancer Therapy and Responsive MRI
Conformal wrapping of ultrathin Ti3C2Tx MXene nanosheets on Fe3O4 mesocrystals creates topology‐stabilized Schottky junctions that direct photoinduced electron transfer under NIR irradiation. The unique architecture sustains Fenton catalysis, promotes continuous hydroxyl radical production, and provides photo‐responsive MRI contrast.

Renal handling of urate and sodium during acute physiological hyperinsulinaemia in healthy subjects
1. The renal effects of insulin may play a central role in the association between insulin resistance, hypertension and hyperuricaemia. After a 2-h baseline period, we investigated the effects of exogenous insulin for 4 h (50 m-units h-1 kg-1) on ...

Janus Photonic Graphics by Stratified Assembly of Two Distinct Colloids
Double‐sided Janus photonic micropatterns with vivid structural colors are fabricated through a single‐step bottom‐up strategy. Density‐driven stratification and depletion‐mediated crystallization of PMMA and PS binary colloids lead to exclusive lattices on opposite surfaces under centrifugal force.

Redox dual‐defects (Cs substitution and O vacancies) in 2D hydrated WO3 steer O2 activation toward selective singlet oxygen evolution. WO‐CO achieves 8.6–15.8 times higher 1O2 production than single‐defect or pristine catalysts, enabling efficient pollutant mineralization via a pathway‐selective photocatalytic mechanism.

Coagulative granular hydrogels are composed of packed thrombin‐functionalized microgels that catalyze the conversion of fibrinogen into a secondary fibrin network, filling the interstitial voids. This bio‐inspired approach stabilizes the biomaterial to match the robustness of bulk hydrogels without compromising injectability, mimicking the initial ...

Effect of proANF-(31--67) on sodium excretion in conscious monkeys
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of proANF-(31--67) on renal function in conscious, chronically instrumented monkeys (Macaca fascicularis). The experimental protocol consisted of a 30-min control period followed by 60 min of peptide

Ornipressin in the treatment of functional renal failure in decompensated liver cirrhosis [PDF]
In 11 patients with decompensated cirrhosis and deteriorating renal function, the effect of the vasoconstrictor substance 8-ornithin vasopressin (ornipressin; POR 8; Sandoz, Basel, Switzerland) on renal function, hemodynamic parameters, and humoral ...
