The Danish Out‐of‐Hospital Cardiac Arrest Trial: A Statistical Analysis Plan

open access: yesActa Anaesthesiologica Scandinavica, Volume 70, Issue 7, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Post‐cardiac arrest care for patients resuscitated from out‐of‐hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) includes multiple pharmacological and physiological interventions, yet optimal strategies to reduce post‐cardiac arrest syndrome–related morbidity and mortality remain uncertain.

Design of Experiments‐Based Optimization of Recovered Carbon Black–Reinforced Isobutylene–Isoprene Rubber in Comparison With Conventional Carbon Black Systems

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 143, Issue 27, July 15, 2026.
Optimized potential of rCB via DOE: recovered carbon black from end‐of‐life tires was assessed as a full substitute for conventional carbon black in IIR composites. DOE and response surface methodology optimized rCB loading, plasticizer, and sulfur contents. Hardness showed linear trends, while rupture energy was nonlinear.

Enhancing winter canola integration into soybean cropping systems through relay intercropping

open access: yesAgronomy Journal, Volume 118, Issue 4, July/August 2026.
Abstract Winter canola (Brassica napus L.) has the potential to enhance the sustainability of soybean‑based cropping systems when integrated as a relay‑intercropped winter oilseed. A critical factor for successful overwinter survival is timely seeding that allows sufficient rosette development before dormancy.

Population pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic modelling to evaluate favipiravir in combination with lopinavir–ritonavir in patients with COVID‐19

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, Volume 92, Issue 7, Page 2390-2402, July 2026.
Aims The repurposed use of favipiravir in COVID‐19 has been reported to have limited clinical efficacy, yet it has been widely used in some countries. Favipiravir causes mutagenesis in RNA viruses, and it is currently unknown whether it may have a measurable effect on the virus in humans.
