Emergent Spin‐Glass Behavior in an Iron(II)‐Based Metal–Organic Framework Glass

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A one‐pot, solvent‐free synthesis yields an Fe2+‐based metal‐organic framework (MOF) glass featuring a continuous random network structure. The material exhibits spin‐glass freezing at 14 K, driven by topological‐disorder and short‐range magnetic frustration, showcasing the potential of MOF glasses as a plattform for cooperative magnetic phenomena in ...

Endothelial Cells Angiogenesis in Sulfated Glycosaminoglycan (GAG) Hydrogels Enhanced by Bioactive Glass‐Released Ions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A mechanically tunable hydrogel composed of gelatin, chondroitin sulfate and laminin promotes angiogenesis in vitro without the supplement of growth factors. Endothelial cells morphogenesis was further enhanced by medium conditioned with bioactive glass 58S‐released ions (Ca and Si), thus offering a promising strategy to vascularize 3D tissue ...

Fractional Fourier transform of coherent optical systems application

open access: yesRevista Técnica de la Facultad de Ingeniería, 2012
In 1980 Namias presented the Fourier transform of Fractional order as a generalization of the well known Fourier transform, establishing the mathematic character of this with its set of theorems and properties. Initially he used it to solve problems with

Two-layered electroosmotic flow through a vertical microchannel with fractional Cattaneo heat flux

open access: yesJournal of Taibah University for Science, 2021
The unsteady electroosmotic flow (EOF) of two layers of immiscible fluids through a vertical microchannel with heat transfer will be investigated. The channel is subjected to an alternating current (AC) electric field.

Linear Canonical Transformations in Relativistic Quantum Physics

open access: yes, 2020
Linear Canonical Transformations (LCTs) are widely known in signal processing and optics as transformations generalizing some integral transforms such as Fourier and fractional Fourier transforms.

Computable solutions of fractional partial differential equations related to reaction-diffusion systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The object of this paper is to present a computable solution of a fractional partial differential equation associated with a Riemann-Liouville derivative of fractional order as the time-derivative and Riesz-Feller fractional derivative as the space ...

From Waste to Value: Conversion of Calcium Sulfate to Vaterite via Carbon Capture and Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a new concept for carbon management that relies on the carbonation of industrial gypsum waste and yields phase‐pure vaterite at ambient conditions without any additives. The obtained vaterite is further shown to be a reactive material that develops compressive strength in aqueous suspensions like conventional cements.

Dynamical behavior of fractionalized simply supported beam: An application of fractional operators to Bernoulli-Euler theory

open access: yesNonlinear Engineering, 2021
The complex structures usually depend upon unconstrained and constrained simply supported beams because the passive damping is applied to control vibrations or dissipate acoustic energies involved in aerospace and automotive industries.

Interconnected Porous Hydrogels with Tunable Anisotropy Through Aqueous Emulsion Bioprinting

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D bioprintable microporous bioink is developed using an aqueous two‐phase system (ATPS) composed of extracellular matrix (ECM) mimetic biopolymers. The ATPS bioink enables the fabrication of interconnected porous architectures with up to 70% porosity, supporting long‐term cell viability and 3D cell alignment, enabling a simultaneous generation of ...

The g-generalized Mittag-Leffler (p,s,k)-function

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal
The Mittag-Leffler (ML) function exists in the study of special functions. It may be used to solve a variety of fractional differential equations (FDEs) including fractional Laplace and fractional Poisson equations.
