Automated Adaptive Baseflow Separation Across Australia's Catchments Using AutoVL
Abstract Baseflow represents streamflow sustained between rainfall events and is fundamental to water security, ecosystem resilience, and drought management. However, widely used digital filters such as the Lyne–Hollick (LH) algorithm, when applied with a fixed, uncalibrated parameter, can substantially underestimate baseflow and obscure non‐stationary

Rising early‐onset colorectal cancer in Japan is compatible with substantial detection‐related effects, but a concurrent increase in invasive disease cannot be excluded. Incidence trends alone are insufficient to justify a true‐rise interpretation; stronger claims require population‐level corroboration. ABSTRACT Early‐onset colorectal cancer (EOCRC) is

FloeNet: A Mass‐Conserving Global Sea Ice Emulator That Generalizes Across Climates
Abstract We introduce FloeNet, a graph neural network trained to emulate the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory global sea ice model, SIS2. FloeNet is a mass‐conserving model, emulating 6‐hr mass and area budget tendencies related to sea ice and snow‐on‐sea‐ice growth, melt, and advection.

Hypoxia results in fragmented mitochondria. Whether this fragmentation promotes or prevents cell death is unresolved. Caenorhabditis elegans mutants defective in mitochondrial fission and fusion coupled with a hypoxia resistant Raptor mutant demonstrated that hypoxia‐induced mitochondrial fragmentation occurs without an intact fission machinery and ...
