Nanoscale Confinement Enhances Ultrafast Demagnetization
Next generation spintronics may depend on successfully combining femtosecond spin dynamics with nanoscale device miniaturization. We address this by systematically studying the effect of nanoscale confinement on the femtosecond demagnetization of Iron. By combining ultrafast experiments sensitive to spins, charge carriers, and phonons, we uncover a nm ...

An inverse random source problem for the fractional Helmholtz equation
This paper investigates an inverse random source problem for the stochastic fractional Helmholtz equation. The source is modeled as a centered, complex-valued, microlocally isotropic generalized Gaussian random field whose covariance and relation operators are described by classical pseudo-differential operators.

Geometrical optics for the fractional Helmholtz equation and applications to inverse problems
In this paper, we construct a parametrix for the fractional Helmholtz equation [Formula: see text] making use of geometrical optics solutions. We show that the associated Eikonal equation is the same as in the classical case, while in the first transport equation the effect of nonlocality is only visible in the zeroth order term, which depends on ...

The paper discusses the problem of classical and fractional diffusion models. It is known that the classical model fails in heterogeneous structures with locations where particles move at a large speed over a long distance.

Polymer‐based hydrogels have emerged as promising materials for atmospheric water harvesting (AWH) due to their high water affinity, tunable network structure, and excellent moisture adsorption‐desorption performance. Functional hydrogel systems enable efficient water capture and controlled release under low‐energy conditions, offering a sustainable ...

Dispersive properties of high order nedelec/edge element approximation of the time-harmonic Maxwell equations [PDF]
The dispersive behaviour of high-order Næ#169;dæ#169;lec element approximation of the time harmonic Maxwell equations at a prescribed temporal frequency ω on tensor-product meshes of size h is analysed.

Bridging Horizontal to Vertical Radiative Cooling
Radiative cooling materials are mature but only work facing the sky, confining them to rooftops. Instead of developing new ones, this system bridges existing horizontal coolers to vertical windows using blades outside the glass. On an occupied urban building, windows stay up to 1.4°C below air temperature while preserving daylight, outward views, and ...

Probabilistic Computing via Gate‐Tunable Random Telegraph Noise
Intrinsic random telegraph noise in metal–oxide–semiconductor field‐effect transistors is harnessed to create gate‐tunable probabilistic bits. By modulating carrier‐trapping dynamics, the device produces stochastic binary outputs with a continuous bias‐to‐probability transfer.

In this paper, we proposed local fractional Laplace decomposition method to solve the Helmholtz and coupled Helmholtz equations on Cantor sets within local fractional operator. The approximate solutions are obtained by using the local fractional Laplace decomposition method, which is the coupling method of local fractional Laplace transform and ...
