Improving the Dynamic Performance of Hybrid Storage Systems Provided by PV Solar Panels

open access: yesTikrit Journal of Engineering Sciences
Solar energy is a clean, renewable resource receiving much attention as a competitive alternative to conventional energy sources. The subject of this study is the integration of rechargeable batteries, supercapacitors, and photovoltaic panels into a ...

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

Solving Some Type of Improper Fractional Integral Using Differentiation under Fractional Integral Sign and Integration by Parts for Fractional Calculus

open access: yes
Abstract: In this paper, based on Jumarie’s modified Riemann-Liouville (R-L) fractional calculus and a new multiplication of fractional analytic functions, we study some type of improper fractional integral. We can obtain the exact solution of this improper fractional integral by using differentiation under fractional integral sign and integration by ...

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Fractional Optimal Control Problem for Symmetric System Involving Distributed-Order Atangana-Baleanu Derivatives with Non-Singular Kernel

open access: yesSymmetry
The objective of this work is to discuss and thoroughly analyze the fractional variational principles of symmetric systems involving distributed-order Atangana–Baleanu derivatives. A component of distributed order, the fractional Euler–Lagrange equations

PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Spatial and single‐nuclei transcriptomics reveals idiosyncratic and generic patterns in papillary and anaplastic thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Matched spatial transcriptomics and single‐nuclei RNA‐seq were generated for anaplastic and BRAFV600E papillary thyroid cancers revealing generic and tumor‐specific states occurring in cancer cells and in the tumor microenvironment. In this context, cancer dedifferentiation mirrored organoid maturation through ordered thyroid marker gain/loss ...

Epigenetic silencing of the liver‐specific lncRNA LUNAR promotes liver cancer progression via NOTCH activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
LUNAR is a liver‐specific long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) that is highly expressed in normal liver but becomes epigenetically silenced in hepatocellular carcinoma through promoter hypermethylation. Loss of LUNAR is associated with NOTCH activation, epithelial–mesenchymal transition, and metastasis, whereas restoring LUNAR restrains metastatic progression ...

Fractional part integral representation for derivatives of a function related to \ln \Gamma(x+1) [PDF]

open access: yesPublicationes Mathematicae Debrecen, 2012
For $0\neq x>-1$ let $$Δ(x)={{\ln Γ(x+1)} \over x}.$$ Recently Adell and Alzer proved the complete monotonicity of $Δ'$ on $(-1,\infty)$ by giving an integral representation of $(-1)^n Δ^{(n+1)}(x)$ in terms of the Hurwitz zeta function $ζ(s,a)$. We reprove this integral representation in different ways, and then re-express it in terms of fractional
