Multiplicity of solutions of Kirchhoff-type fractional Laplacian problems with critical and singular nonlinearities

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2023
In this ariticle, the following Kirchhoff-type fractional Laplacian problem with singular and critical nonlinearities is studied: \begin{equation*} \begin{cases} \left(a+b\|u\|^{2\mu-2}\right)\left(-\Delta\right)^su=\lambda l(x)u^{2_{s}^{*}-1}+h(x)u ...

Existence and Multiplicity of Solutions for Fractional $$\kappa (\xi )$$-Kirchhoff-Type Equation

open access: yesQualitative Theory of Dynamical Systems, 2023
In this paper, we aim to tackle the questions of existence and multiplicity of solutions to a new class of $\kappa(\xi)$-Kirchhoff-type equation utilizing a variational approach. Further, we research the results from the theory of variable exponent Sobolev spaces and from the theory of space $\psi$-fractional $\mathcal{H}^{\mu,\nu;\,\psi}_{\kappa(\xi)}(

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

Global solutions for fractional viscoelastic equations with logarithmic nonlinearities

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2020
In this article we study a fractional viscoelastic equation of Kirchhoff type with logarithmic nonlinearities. Under suitable conditions we prove the existence of global solutions and the exponential decay of the energy.

Multiple sign-changing solutions for nonlinear fractional Kirchhoff equations

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2018
This paper is concerned with the following nonlinear fractional Kirchhoff equation: (a+b∫R3|(−Δ)s2u|2dx)(−Δ)su+V(x)u=f(u),x∈R3, $$\biggl(a+b \int _{\mathbb{R}^{3}} \bigl\vert (-\Delta )^{\frac{s}{2}}u \bigr\vert ^{2}\,dx \biggr) (- \Delta )^{s}u+V(x)u=f ...
