Abstract Seasonal CO2 and H2O ice blanket the Martian polar caps, and their spectral contributions mix during seasonal evolution. Particularly in late northern winter, the spectral signature of H2O ice obscures that of CO2 ice. Using the MARVIN chamber at York University, we produced controlled analogs of layered polar ice under Mars‐like pressure (∼6 ...

On dynamical behaviors in the fractional generalized Langevin equation
The focus of our study in this paper is on the active dynamics and a fractional generalized Langevin equation with a memory kernel K(t). The Fokker-Planck equation is obtained by deriving it from a second-order differential equation. The joint probability density we obtained enables us to calculate various statistical quantities such as mean squared ...

Probabilistic correlation functions of the Schwarzian field theory
Abstract We study correlation functions of the probabilistic Schwarzian field theory. We compute cross‐ratio correlation functions exactly in the case when the corresponding Wilson lines do not intersect, confirming predictions made in the physics literature via limit of the conformal bootstrap and the DOZZ formula.

Langevin equation approach to diffusion magnetic resonance imaging
The normal phase diffusion problem in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is treated by means of the Langevin equation for the phase variable using only the properties of the characteristic function of Gaussian random variables.

Brownian motion and anomalous diffusion revisited via a fractional Langevin equation
In this paper we revisit the Brownian motion on the basis of the fractional Langevin equation which turns out to be a particular case of the generalized Langevin equation introduced by Kubo in 1966. The importance of our approach is to model the Brownian
