Stochastics and Dynamics, 2005By making use of the reflected α-stable process on a closed domain of ℝn and its killed subprocess on part of the domain, in this paper we study the boundary value problem for the Schrödinger type equation of a fractional Laplacian. The boundary condition is imposed partly follow Dirichlet condition and partly follow Neuman condition.

BOUNDS FOR THE EIGENVALUES OF THE FRACTIONAL LAPLACIAN
Reviews in Mathematical Physics, 2012In this article, we extend Pólya's legendary inequality for the Dirichlet Laplacian to the fractional Laplacian. Pólya's argument is revealed to be a powerful tool for proving such extensions on tiling domains. As in the Dirichlet Laplacian case, Pólya's inequality for the fractional Laplacian on any bounded domain is still an open problem.
