Statistical properties of acoustic emission signals from metal cutting processes
Acoustic Emission (AE) data from single point turning machining are analysed in this paper in order to gain a greater insight of the signal statistical properties for Tool Condition Monitoring (TCM) applications. A statistical analysis of the time series

Low‐Angle Grain Boundaries and Re‐Segregation in Single‐Crystalline Ni‐Base Superalloys
This work demonstrates that Re‐segregation at low‐angle grain boundaries (LAGBs) in Ni‐base superalloys is influenced by misorientation angle. Advanced microscopy and atom probe tomography reveal that higher misorientation angles increases Re‐segregation.

Simple Wald tests of the fractional integration parameter : an overview of new results [PDF]
This paper presents an overview of some new results regarding an easily implementable Wald test-statistic (EFDF test) of the null hypotheses that a time-series process is I(1) or I(0) against fractional I(d) alternatives, with d?(0,1), allowing for ...

Specialisation and Reduction of Continued Fractions of Formal Power Series [PDF]
We discuss and illustrate the behaviour of the continued fraction expansion of a formal power series under specialisation of parameters or their reduction modulo $p$ and sketch some applications of the reduction theorem here proved.

Least-Squares Residual Power Series Method for the Time-Fractional Differential Equations
In this study, an applicable and effective method, which is based on a least-squares residual power series method (LSRPSM), is proposed to solve the time-fractional differential equations.

This paper presents a novel approach to reducing oxide layers on metal powders using low‐temperature hydrogen dielectric barrier discharge plasmas at atmospheric pressure. Unlike conventional hydrogen‐plasma reductions, the powders do not contact the plasma directly.

Approximations for Fractional Derivatives and Fractional Integrals Using Padé Approximation
This paper tackles the persistent challenge of slow convergence and numerical instability in the fractional calculus when applied to power series–representable functions fx=∑i=0∞cixi, limitations that compromise accuracy in scientific applications.
