Fractional quantum Hall effects
Physics World, 2000Since its discovery almost two decades ago, the quantum Hall effect has been investigated by an exceptionally broad community of physicists, ranging all the way from materials scientists to topologists. Although the integer and fractional quantum Hall effects were discovered in the early 1980s, they are still the focus of a large research effort ...

Fractional flux quantum and fractional quantum Hall effect
Physics Letters A, 1987Abstract It is shown that the charge of a filled state is 1 2 e only. Based on this fact, a half charge and fractional flux quantum are proposed for the single particle. With this proposition contradictions among the recent theories are removed. The odd-number denominator is also explained by the half charge.

THE CONNECTION BETWEEN INTEGER QUANTUM HALL EFFECT AND FRACTIONAL QUANTUM HALL EFFECT
Modern Physics Letters B, 2007We investigate the integer quantum Hall effect (IQHE) and the fractional quantum Hall effect (FQHE). We derive the quantized Hall resistance of IQHE in the presence of the high magnetic field using the scheme of standing waves by de Broglie matter wave of electron gas confined within a two-dimensional square-type quantum well. Without any modification

Higher-order fractional quantum Hall effect
Physical Review B, 1985The Hamiltonian describing interacting two-dimensional electrons in a high magnetic field is diagonalized numerically for a small number of particles to obtain the low-lying excitation spectra. The results include estimates of energy gaps for values of $\ensuremath{\nu}$ (the lowest-Landau-level filling factor) equal to certain multiples of $\frac{1}{5}

Fractional quantum Hall effect revisited
Physica B: Condensed Matter, 2015Abstract The topology-based explanation of the fractional quantum Hall effect (FQHE) is summarized. The cyclotron braid subgroups crucial for this approach are introduced in order to identify the origin of the Laughlin correlations in 2D (two-dimensional) Hall systems. Flux-tubes and vortices for composite fermions in their standard constructions are

Fractional Quantum Hall Effect
1993The fractional quantum Hall effect occurs when, in a strong magnetic field, electrons fall into highly correlated liquid states.

Fractional Quantum Hall Effect
1991An overview is given of the fractional quantum Hall (FQH) effect. Emphasized are recent experiments on the anomaly in transport at v = 1/2, suggestive of a new correlated ground state, the fractional charge of quasiparticles/quasiholes of the 1/3 FQH liquid, and the long anticipated transition from the incompressible FQH liquids to deformable solids.

Fractional quantum hall effect
2007The Fractional Quantum Hall Effect is an intriguing, new many-body phenomenon encompassing a variety of novel physics. Its strikingly new characteristics include the manifestation of fractional quantum numbers and the implied existence of fractionally-charged excitations obeying fractional statistics, all associated with the formation of a new form of ...

Fractional quantum Hall effect with spin reversal
Physical Review B, 1989We study the spin polarization of the ground states and the excited states of the fractional quantum Hall effect, using spherical geometry for finite-size systems. In the absence of the Zeeman energy, the ground states at filling 2/q, with q odd, are found to be spin unpolarized and nondegenerate for all values of q studied.
