Tratamiento conservador de las fracturas diafisarias de tibia en adultos

The follow-up and final results of 148 diaphyseal tibial fractures (54 open and 94 closed) treated conservatively were reviewed. The most frequent causes were road traffic accident (58%) and casual falls (33%). We found predominantly spiroid fractures (26%), transverse fractures (22%) and oblicues fractures (22%).

Estudio de la fractura de tibia proximal 41-C1 empleando el método de elementos finitos

The proximal tibia fracture 41-C1 is analyzed with and without the use of fixation plates. This analysis is done considering the different stages of the fracture healing callus (soft and mature). The study is built on a finite element model of a synthetic tibia (Synbone®), which assumes linear and isotropic material behavior.

Nuestra Experiencia en el Tratamiento Funcional de las Fracturas de Tibia

Among 57 tibia! shaft fractures treated with functional method are collected. The authors report their experience with this system. They obtain 72 % of good results (unions), within normal periode of time. The angulation was smaller than 10º in 58% of cases, and never the shortening was bigger than 1' 5 cm. The subjetive results ha ve been satisfactory

Hemos realizado un estudio retrospectivo de 12 osteotomías valguizantes de tibia proximal en las que ocurrió fractura del fragmento proximal, de un total de 409 osteotomías realizadas en nuestro hospital para el tratamiento de la gonartrosis del compartimento medial.

Epifisiolisis triplana del extremo distal de la tibia asociada a fractura diafisaria ipsilateral de tibia: Caso clínico

We report a case of simultaneus triplane fracture of the distal tibial epiphysis and spiral fracture of the ipsilateral tibial-shaft fracture in a 13 year-old boy. The association of these two lesions has not previously been reported and can be considered as a new lesional type IV triplane fracture of the distal tibial epiphysis.
